Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the school’s governing body and is responsible for setting strategic direction, providing oversight, and ensuring accountability for student achievement, wellbeing, and the stewardship of the school’s Anglican special character.

As a state-integrated Anglican school, the Board governs in partnership with the Principal and works closely with the Board of Proprietors to meet obligations under the Integration Agreement, including the protection and promotion of the school’s special character.

Guided by our Vision | Te Moemoeā, the Board ensures that within a caring, inclusive Christian environment, children are equipped to excel academically, live out the Five Marks of Mission, and embrace the richness of all cultures. In doing so, the Board supports the school’s Mission | Te Kaupapa to be a high-achieving Anglican school where every child thrives in learning, grows in character and faith, and is well prepared for secondary school and life beyond.

Board Sub-Committees

To support effective governance, oversight, and assurance, the Board operates through a number of sub-committees. These committees focus on key areas of responsibility and report to the full Board. Decision-making authority remains with the Board as a whole, in line with New Zealand school governance practice. The Principal is an ex officio member across all sub-committees, providing professional advice, operational context, and leadership insight to support informed governance decision-making. While sub-committees provide oversight and assurance, the Principal retains responsibility for the day-to-day management and implementation of all matters arising from the committees’ work.
